Evgeniya Rudyuk is a professional scriptwriter, theatrical playwright and director, art researcher.

She was born on December 25, 1992 in the city of Birobidzhan, Jewish Autonomous Region, a special project of the Soviet government. Her first literary text as a child and her leading auto-fictional theatre project "Birobidzhan cycle" is dedicated to this outstanding place, which became a place of collective trauma, and its connection with the dramatic story of her own family.

In her works, Evgeniya strives for experimentation, pushing the boundaries of genres, narrative technologies and the media themselves. Her key artistic interest is related to the transformations of biblical motifs in the plots of films and plays, and the key themes are: power, sacrifice, guilt, trauma and transcendence. She holds MFA degree at the S.A. Gerasimov All-Russian State University of Cinematography (2023, Russia) in the dramaturgy workshop of Yuri Arabov, winner of the Cannes Prize and also at the Moscow Film School under the Showrunner program (2024). During her studies, she was the awardee of educational grants from the Ministry of Culture and the Mars Media Entertainment film company.

The debut full-length script "Olesya's home" is dedicated to the social problem of orphaned adopted children who have been returned (received funding from the Ministry of Culture in 2025, production in Russia in 2026-2027). Evgeniya Rudyuk's art portfolio includes about a dozen filmed short films and feature-length scripts in development for European projects ("Acclimatization", "La Dauphine").

In 2025, she directed two theatrical plays, "Orestes and the Flies of Conscience" (based on Sartre's play The Flies) and "Divine Kwakwacomedy" (based on Aristophanes' comedy "Frogs") at independent venues in St. Petersburg (the theatre "VINCI" and the Brusnitsyn cultural quarter). Moreover she is fond of artistic and reportage photography.

Since Russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine in 2022, she moved to Turkey, rarely visiting homeland for completing education purposes. Currently she lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and works as an independent migrant artist for cinema and theatre.
